WiFi Connection Guide (Ewpe Smart)

Below is a quick 4 step guide on how to connect your handheld smartphone or tablet to your EcoAir device.
Before you begin please
ensure that your smartphone or tablet and wireless router meet the following requirements.


Requirements for User’s Wireless Rotuer:

  • Ensure you mobile is connected to a 2.4GHz frequency on your Wireless Router (Please note this App does not support 5Ghz frequency wireless routers.

  • Ensure your Wireless Router is set to 11bg or 20Mhz Bandwidth.


Step 1: Download App

Go to your App Store on your handheld device, Search for the App Ewpe Smart” and download.

Step 2: Register

Register an account via either connecting to Facebook or creating a new account.

Step 3: Add machine to device list

Select the type of EcoAir product you wish to connect to using the “+” sign in the top right hand corner of your screen.


Step 4: Reset Wi-Fi on selected EcoAir device via the 3 options available

You must now reset the Wi-Fi settings on your EcoAir device using the correct reset tool. If you are trying to connect your Artica Mk2 then there is only one reset option. If you are trying to connect you X-Series please select “Remote Controller With Wi-Fi”.

Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device.



Step 5: Automatically Connect Air Conditioner to Smartphone

Ensure you are positioned close enough to your wireless routers connectivity sphere.

Once reset has been actioned please confirm your Wi-Fi connection via inputting your wireless router name and password.

Once done please wait for your handheld smartphone or tablet to connect to your EcoAir device.

You are now fully connected to your EcoAir device which can now be controlled from anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to the Internet and your EcoAir device is switched on in Wi-Fi mode.



Optional 6: Manually adding appliance your appliance.

If your smartphone or tablet does not connect automatically please revisit step 4 and proceed via the manual adding option.
Here, you must reset the Wi-Fi of your appliance in a different way which will involve removing the plug from the socket and reinserting after short period.

Optional 7: Selecting Wireless network to control the Air Conditioner.

Once manually reset you will see a unique wireless address appear. This is the air conditioners unique wireless identifier. You will then need to enter your home wireless router name and password to finish the connection.

Now wait and while the App connects your handheld device to your Air Conditioner.


Troubleshotting Guide:

Problem Solution

I have trouble signing up to the Ewpe Smart App

  • Ensure you have chosen a correct email address and retry.
  • Change user ID. and retry signing up.
My device does not connect automatically with my air conditioner when initially trying to connect.
  • Try manually adding your device following the on-screen instructions
  • Ensure your wireless router is set up to 2.4Ghz and is compatible with 11gb or 20Mhz Bandwidth.
  • Ensure there are no other wireless broadcasts in the same room when trying to connect.
  • Ensure you have correctly entered your home wireless router and password.
The Ewpe App fails to control my air conditioner after already being paired.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi mode is turned on, on your air conditioner.
